Eligibility:

This posting is open to Permanent Teachers, Probationary Teachers and Occasional Teachers currently employed by Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board.

Salary Range:

$52.53/hour per OECTA Collective Agreement, Article 24.15

Closing Date:

March 31, 2026 at 4pm

Assignment:

• 1.0FTE June 29/26 – July 24/26 (1 position)
• 1.0FTE June 29/26 – August 17/26 (up to 2 positions, East & West)

Summer positions are dependent on Ministry program enrolment and funding. Dates are subject to change.

Notes:

• In addition to working with individual community partners for student placements, Co-op teachers will work with Focus on Youth and, as such, will be required to attend planning meetings and student preplacement training sessions. The Board Office will serve as the home school for the community teacher. These positions involve a good deal of preparation in the spring prior to the commencement of summer school.

The successful candidate will be expected to provide their own vehicle to travel to school sites. Travel expenses will be paid according to Article 25 of the current Collective Agreement.

Qualifications :

• Certificate of Qualification from the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT)
• Co-operative Education, Part 1
• Experience with working with students with developmental disabilities
